dyed paper doilies

I have spray painted paper doilies, but never dyed them.  For a variety of colors this might be the way to go.

Charlotte's Fancy is no longer posting on her site, but she previously shared where she found the doilies and how she dyed them.

clay plate/bowl

Learn how to make this great bowl/plate, from here.
(You will most likely need to translate it before reading - I did - but I think there might be something lost in translation.)

Colorful Looks

Spring can be quite colorful with the flowers blooming and Spring springing up everywhere.
Sometimes the spring colors inspire us to add more color to the areas we are living in or decorating.  Here are some lovely ways to add color and cheer.
The Design Files has a post with these great looks - using an assortment of color in tassels and chairs.

---

I love the look of this kitchen - I found this lovely look, and a few other colorful looks, from a post titled Pottery Display - Some Of My Favorites, at
Gold Country Girls

---

Wouldn't this be a cheerful place to visit - from House of Turquoise

 ---

Similar colors as above, but not so bold - a bit calmer to my soul.
from HERE

---

This collection of magazine holders, from here, is colorfully fun to look at. This whole corner is full of color.
I love my little drawers covered in paper, here. The colors are cheerful to be around.
I have used these types of magazine holders before and still have a few waiting to be used again if needed.  I might have to pull them out and find a place to use them so I can cover them in cute paper or fabric.

---

I still love bunting, and using bunting is an easy and fun way to add color to things and places. These three ideas come from Tatertots and Jello

Cute and colorful fabric bunting and adorable bunting cookies.

bunting on a bag will cheer up a loved one

bunting on a wall, over top of  some colorful pinwheels - imagine the colors you could use.

---

Here is some bunting made of colorful paper circles and white paper doilies, from Landee see Landee do.  She made this rainbow of colors for St. Patricks Day, but it would work equally nice for Easter or for birthdays, or any celebration of color.

 Color seem to add cheer and delight to any day.
Color can be so inspiring!

So ..., Spring ..., bring on the Color

For the Love of Doilies!

Yes, I do love doilies ..., and look what I just saw ... It's so exciting!

delicate but strong 1

these are some of the
Stuff I'm lovin'
this month.

I don't need the shell or rock (or whatever) on the top, because it hides the doilie, but the rocks covered in doilies are such a fun look.
Why would I need a rock covered with a doilie?  I don't know ..., I guess I don't need one ..., and that might be why I don't have  and am not getting one ..., but don't they just look so fun!  They'd be awesome in a cottage somewhere by the beach.  I don't have one of those either.   Awe ..., Sigh!
These doilied rocks were seen HERE, and is really an 8x10 print (cleverly titled delicate but strong

A Room Full ...

This room is filled with fun!
What I see / love in this bedroom from the Land Of Nod catalog -
 - glittering doily collage on the wall,
- hanging light strands,
- bunched lights on the floor,
- fabric ruffle tree,
- banner/bunting
- maybe the rug too ... it looks a lot like a couple I have ... and love.

hmmm!  I wonder if I will use any of these looks in my home???  thinking ... ... ..!

More pink decor (I really don't dream in pink!)

I do love this look - pink and white with a touch of gold and of course greenery.
I love the frames, the pedestal tier, the doily...
I love the glass - glass sparkles.
This look is from Dying of Cute

~~~~~~~~~~
I love the softness of this beautiful bouquet of light pink, white, and touch of blue.
It comes from Style Me Pretty
I love this table setting!  From HERE
The centerpiece would be the only thing I'd change here - it confuses me - maybe because I can't see it very well to know what it really is.
This wedding from 100 Layer Cake has some fun elements
  • doilies and evergreen tied with sisal rope hanging from a larger rope,
  • afghans over the bench seating,
  • green vases, and white too,
  • the happiest people sign,
  • the pine cones amidst the other table decor,
  • the berries in the vases,
  • evergreen twigs tied with the napkins,
Wrappin' it up!
This is really cute. Need to use up some scrapbooking paper so you can buy some more? Oh, did I just say that?
From Older and Wisor
This blogspot has a post with 50 More Giftwrapping Ideas. And I didn't see any of the same wraps I have here. (well, except for the two I'm posting right now.) Here are a couple of those ideas
Wrap with a pattern paper. It's a similar look to brown bag paper. Ucreate
Or use the pattern paper as tissue in a bag. So cute!
Fabric Wrap from the haystack needle
Or hey, a piece of clothing a subtle revelry
Cute tags idea from Two Shades of Pink
And more from Two Shades of Pink
Love the textures she created here with her Natural + Vintage wraps
Beautiful. There are a couple other wraps, a little more simple on this site too. LaurieAnna's Vintage Home
Burlap as the wrap. I've seen some that is kind of sloppy looking, but this is nicely done. From Warfield Ninjas
Or Burlap Bags Etsy
Oh yes! Don't forget the Newspaper Print for wrapping!
