washi tape - make my own!
I've seen washi tape used in projects online a lot and been so intriqued with it, but never seen it in stores (no reason to look right now anyway - I might purchase what I don't need if I find it:)

Marshmallow Ropes ... Really!
I had to look twice to make sure I was seeing what I thought I was seeing. I wasn't sure what I thought at first, but it's kind of interesting - enough to save the look.

I saw these on a family member's blog and thought they looked delicious. I quickly went to Pinterest to find the recipe. I found a few, but these are the closest to the look I saw. Now, I'm not saying these don't look good, but the picture I saw first really made me want to try them.

More garland - and notice the Sign our Quilt sign with fabric squares in a basket on the table. I suppose the guests sign the fabric square instead of a book ... or maybe also a book somewhere else.

Life is like a Bicycle
Life is like a bicycle; to keep your balance you must keep on moving.
I like this quote from Albert Einstein - apparently he wrote it in a letter to his son.

It is important to keep on moving, but even more important to keep on moving in the right direction.
Henry B. Eyring said this;
"You make choices every day and almost every hour that keep you walking in the light or moving away toward darkness."
There is a great story about Smoke Jumpers that helps us learn the importance of Einstein's counsel to keep on moving, and also knowing what direction to move. It's a great read - Start Moving by Von G. Keetch.
"Relaxing on the ridge may seem a safe way to avoid making mistakes, but it’s also a way to avoid making progress."
His closing testimony is this:
"I testify that the best and clearest direction comes in our lives not when we are just waiting for our Heavenly Father to send help and guidance but when we are anxiously engaged with our back bent to the task. To those of you who are waiting upon the Lord for guidance in your lives—who need help with a major decision or question—I give you this challenge: Prayerfully and carefully use your own intelligence and your own resources to choose a path that seems right to you. Then become anxiously engaged in walking that path (see D&C 58:26–28). When the time for course correction comes, He will be there to help you and to guide you.
The best and clearest direction comes in our lives not when we are just waiting for our Heavenly Father to send help and guidance but when we are anxiously engaged with our back bent to the task."

Winter Wedding Looks
This wedding from 100 Layer Cake has some fun elements
- doilies and evergreen tied with sisal rope hanging from a larger rope,
- afghans over the bench seating,
- green vases, and white too,
- the happiest people sign,
- the pine cones amidst the other table decor,
- the berries in the vases,
- evergreen twigs tied with the napkins,

Boa Poms and Dr. Seuss
Did you know that today (March 2) is Dr. Seuss' birthday?
Well, I've seen a couple things about it - and wanna save the look.
The boa poms, the colors, the poms on the chairs, the rug as a table cloth, ... it's just so springy and cutsie!

My mother-in-law has been doing this kind of thing all her life. Not for the look, but for the use of such a thing. As we've been cleaning the house it's been interesting to see how she has reused and up-cycled items in different ways. I always knew she did that kind of thing, but it's fun to see it all again.

more pink and gold
I know it's March and I thought I'd switch color attractions, but I did just see this pink and gold together - it looks great, and the grey? well I don't think I use grey and gold together very often - I usually go grey and silver. But this is a nice look.

Paint Stick People
I was looking through the March 2012 Family Fun Magazine while my husband was getting his infusion and found these cute wire haired figures made from paint sticks. These little items could certainly create some family fun.
