Pumpkin Upholstery

I saw this at Creative Co-op

This looks like the fabric from the first sofa and love seat we purchased many years ago.

Here it is, with one of our sons enjoying it's comfort (about 26 years ago).

This sofa and love seat is still in our play room, but feeling not quite a comfy as it used to be.  I keep threatening to get rid of it - but it's so hard to do. Maybe I'll have to make pumpkins out of it!?!?!?

Way to re-purpose a sofa!
Do you have a sofa that is waiting for a new life?
Or maybe just some upholstery left from some furniture you recovered?

Centerpieces with Photos

Go Frameless!
This is a fun way to display photos, especially for centerpieces or show cases at a wedding, anniversary party, or family reunion.   Show off the special couple or other special people in our lives.

Volunteer Pumpkins

This is a surprise plant growing in our corral.
We found it earlier this summer and have watered and watched it grow.

We are excited to see the fruit is turning orange.
Our best pumpkins are usually volunteer plants.

Patiently waiting for harvest!

Perfect Pumpkins and Other Halloween Decor

Blogs have been showing Halloween decor or Fall decor for several weeks now - here are a few of my favorites -

Doilies on a pumpkin can look amazing, like this one from Ticking and Toile

---

This next look is from Tatortots and Jello

The plain white pumpkins look great!  I love the color combination - gray, white, orange, black.  Great idea to use chains.  Cool numbers. Love the window/door.
The trees kinda throw my simple mind off a bit for Halloween, though I do think they help make this look what it is, and it reminds me of the fact that we are all different - and oh how nice that is.  Sometimes it's our differences that work well together.  Just look at all the different textures in this set up  ... they work so well together.

The Thanksgiving Table

Candles in Nuts! From Good Housekeeping

Here are a couple of our tables last year. I tried to use only what I had, spend as little time as necessary, and keep it as disposable as possible (even using the paper products I already had). I did find the little pumpkins for 10 cents a piece the day before Thanksgiving, so I bought a lot of them. There were 6 tables similar to these. Not fancy, but it looked fine all together, and the kids loved the scattered Whoppers and candies while waiting for dinner to be served. The tables don't need to be too decorated when there are other things in the room to draw your attention to.

Pumpkin Tiers look great! No need to store them year after year, how awesome! High Heeled Hostess
