Summer Fun Stuff

Happy Summer!

Oh what do you do in the summer time?

Paint cute stone creatures like these from a Woman's Day 7/18/89 magazine ...

or from the same magazine, comes this idea of a rock mosaic ...

or this idea of a leaf fan ...

---

I don't know where this comes from, but can see that it is from the year 1999. I have seen others like it online, but wanted to save the look here, especially since I had in on paper.

---

Another twig project is this basket.  This project was saved from a Woman's Day 7/18/89 magazine.

---

Use twigs to help create a Charm Bag like these seen in a July/August 2006 Family Fun magazine.
It looks like a fun craft for young girls.

---

More nature crafts include these adorable creatures from a Family Fun June/July 2012 magazine.

---

Pool Noodles can be used for some fun out of the pool as seen in these next two images

this is from a Family Fun magazine July/August 2006

and this is from a Family Fun magazine July/August 2007

Have some Fun!

Frosted Twigs

It's still cold outside, so frosted twigs could still be plucked from the yard.
They can be frosty inside too, if you follow the directions found at Grow Creative

Clothes Pin Garland and A Great Clothes Line/Rack

This is kinda cute! Tutorial at Chickabug Blog

Not really along the same line, but this could use clothes pins too - I love this Laundry Rack from Design Sponge.  I even like the cloth that's on it, and the look fits for a vintage or rustic decor - lovely!

Twig Blossoms

I have seen silk flowers glued onto twigs before ... and even done it myself, years ago when I saw it in a magazine ... before computers existed (well, before our family owned a computer - yes it was several many years ago).   I may have even posted about one here on the blog ??? maybe ???  ... ya, I did on A Sweet Spring Look.

Well, this is one twig blossom that caught my eye ... and I'm posting it for sure!
It's so Fun and Creatively cute.  Whisker Graphics brings us this look called Bitty Bag Floral Arrangement ... at least that is where I saw the look.

Winter Wedding Looks

This wedding from 100 Layer Cake has some fun elements

  • doilies and evergreen tied with sisal rope hanging from a larger rope,
  • afghans over the bench seating,
  • green vases, and white too,
  • the happiest people sign,
  • the pine cones amidst the other table decor,
  • the berries in the vases,
  • evergreen twigs tied with the napkins,
  • the book holding old photos.

Bottles and Jars

Square or triangular bottle wrapped in string or twine. Twigs with the flowers. Ruffled

It's all so great! This photo comes from Etsy. It seems that they sell the lids/frogs only. I am not affiliated with them in any way...just like the Look.

Green bottles with yellow flowers. Maybe small red jars with candles. Clear bottles with candle sticks. Green Wedding Shoes

Hanging Jars. These jars on the right might have ribbons in them??? Green Wedding Shoes.

Jars and a few slices of wood, doilies and beautiful flowers...just a few of my favorite things. She Walks In Beauty

Bottles and vases. Style Me Pretty.

Bottles, Flowers, Spools. Ruffled

Bottles on a stick sound so strange, but look so cute. Fun idea I saw on Pinterest. It looks like these are sold for $49.00 Wow! - atwestend.com
I wonder how many they sell and if they come unassembled.
