Decisions Determine Destiny
To make decisions wisely, courage is needed—the courage to say no, the courage to say yes. I plead with you to make a determination right now not to deviate from the path which will lead to our goal: eternal life with our Father in Heaven.

Barns & The Like
A barn house from Simply Seleta
- the garage has a great barn look, and love the sunroom on the other end.

How about just a roof? I could see this with canvas or linen curtains at each post.

Skookie Pans
It's Show and Tell Time!
This is not a paid advertisement - it's just a review of one of my favorite things.
This is one of those things that I'm grateful for, because it makes life a bit more fun in a simple way.

(small cast iron skillets)
We made them for our family reunion cookie contest!
We used our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe ...
baked them ...
cooled them for a few minutes ...
topped them with ice cream ...
served them ...
ate them ...
Gotta Love Em!
We won!
You might notice that we didn't drizzle ours with chocolate sauce like the box shows - but really, they are sweet enough without it.

Color and Personality
Can't say I really believe this (hum! I wonder what color that would make me?) but I think it is kinda fun. From The Perfect Palette

Party Ideas
(Update - looking back on this post I found that it was "broken". The links and photos were not working, so I did some research and found it again. Most of the photos are exactly what I had originally saved, but there are a couple that I didn't know for sure, so I used what I liked this time. They might be something I posted somewhere else, so we see it twice, but I hope I haven't referred to something in a post I made since this post, saying that a look was here that now isn't here. Sorry for the confusion!)
Marci Judkins has a great Celebrations Pinboard
It includes things like these doily crowns
Fun looks like this beach party
and this - floating umbrellas
Her board will have the links to each of these photos.

The Dog and his Reflection
A Dog, to whom the butcher had
thrown a bone, was hurrying home with his prize as fast as he could go. As he
crossed a narrow footbridge, he happened to look down and saw himself reflected
in the quiet water as if in a mirror. But the greedy Dog thought he saw a real
Dog carrying a bone much bigger than his own.
If he had stopped to think he
would have known better. But instead of thinking, he dropped his bone and sprang
at the Dog in the river, only to find himself swimming for dear life to reach
the shore. At last he managed to scramble out, and as he stood sadly thinking
about the good bone he had lost, he realized what a stupid Dog he had
been.
It is very foolish to be
greedy.

Little Drawer Organizers
It's Show and Tell Time!
This is not a paid advertisement - it's just a review of one of my favorite things.
This is one of those things that I'm grateful for, because it makes life a bit easier in simple ways.
One last thing in my scrapbooking arsenal (for this month anyway) that I include as one of my favorite things -
It's not expensive ..., It's nothing very unique ..., It comes in different sizes and colors ..., It's found most anywhere ...,
Little Organizing Drawers!
Actually, I have a few of these in my home ...,
one in the garage with bolts and screws and nails and etc.,
one in in the mudroom tool closet with smaller screws, nails, hooks, etc.,
Sorry the photo is untouched, but those drawers are even worse -kinda very dusty, but I didn't think it was worth dumping and dusting each drawer for the photo or for any reason really!
and, one in the laundry room with craft supplies and little extras that I don't know what to do with - but can't throw them away ..., yet!
I just love little drawers and containers with see thru fronts - they allow me to see what I have and easily find what I'm looking for.
I still love the little drawers that don't have clear fronts, like these shown earlier, but I can't see what is inside them.

They, for me, seem to be more decor than anything else. Maybe someday I'll hang some tiny tags on the tiny knobs to show me what is inside each of the tiny drawers.
Actually, the drawers are empty for the moment, well, except for the top left - that drawer holds a few cards that came with the Willow Tree figurines I have.
When I was redoing them I threw away or gave away most of the contents within the few drawers I had stuff in. Hey, I hadn't seen them for months and didn't seem to miss them, nor could I figure out what I'd want that stuff for later. That only works on occasion you know - I mean throwing stuff away. It made me happy! :)
