Princess Bride Wedding Decor

Spring Cleaning and Decor

I've seen several blog posts out there with some spring decor and really loved the fun colors.  I felt inspired to Spring-up my kitchen.  I Spring-cleaned and decorated it...well, I'm still in the process of cleaning it - I started a few weeks ago, doing what I can/want each day/week, and I still need to clean the freezer.  However, it's a bit more cheery and I'm loving the look with such simple little changes without having to purchase anything (which saves time and money).  Here is one corner of the kitchen.  My bananas hang next to this, but they weren't available for photo at the time. :)

I was surprised to see that I have some packets of Kool-Aid.  We don't use it often, and they have probably been there for a little while a long time.

Okay, I did purchase one thing this Spring - the cute measuring spoons, but I purchased them before I decided to Spring-up my kitchen.
They are from World Market. 
When I got on their site to add the link here, I saw that they have some new colors with a floral pattern.  I think they'll look great for summer.  So Cute!

Righteous Women

Hand Prints

I think this is a cute idea.  My children are mostly grown up now, but I have grandchildren!  I might have to do this at our next gathering.  I don't have a lot of wall space (it's already filled) but I think it would be great (even better) as a throw pillow for my sofa.  I've been wanting some color in the family room and this could help me get a bit of color.  It would be fun to embroider their names with the same color used for their hand print, and to add the year it was made.  Strips of ribbon could be sewn down the side too.  So many possibilities.   From Inspired By Family Magazine
