Here is an alternative to the huge, hard to bite into, messy carameled apple.
Here She used a melon ball-er to make the shapes, and it's so fun to see the peel of the apple up at the stick.
I have not taken the time to "ball" them, but we have sliced and cubed apples, wrapped them in homemade caramel, stuck a tooth pick in them and dipped them in chocolate and nuts. Mmmmm Mmmmm Good! These don't stick around long, but they get kinda soggy if they do sit around too long. Can't save for the next day! :(
